Take a step back in time with the story of Nat the Hatter on the ‘factory floor’ of the museum. Follow in the footsteps of Nat and his family as they make hats in the old factories of Stockport. Learn how they made the hats, see and hear the old machinery and visit the Hatter’s Cottage. Experience what it was like to be a hat maker’s apprentice.

Hat Works' Collections Access Officer Stephanie Murfin will explore interesting items from the museum collection in a 10 minute lunchtime talk.

Take a guided tour around Hat Works where a fact sheet on the history of Wellington Mill and the conversion of this grade 2 listed building will be available for visitors throughout the weekend.
In our community room there will be a drop in family fun activity ‘Felting For All’ come along and make a felt masterpiece to take home with you!
